Ames apparent winner for I-35E MnPass

The project, which includes construction of MnPass high occupancy toll lanes on I-35E, among other tasks, was awarded on “best value” basis. Burnsville-based Ames Construction’s price was $98.43 million, about $11 million more than Maple Grove-based C.S. McCrossan’s bid. However, Ames had a better technical score than McCrossan.
